The third city which I've seen was Assisi, just after returning from San Marino. I wanted to visit it because of the Giotto's frescos located in Basilica of San Francis of Assisi (look up) since he's a really popular artist on my Art classes at school. The Umbrian town surprised me very positively, that's exactly how I imagined small villages of Italy- flowers planted by the old woman on the small balcony in her tenement house, narrow corridors with a view on the green hills and carefree attitude of locals.
The Basilica di Santa Chiara looked amazing from every side.
Another Basilica - Papal Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels in Assisi
The Rose Garden in Basilica- favorite place of St. Francis
Grandma's balconies
Entrance to the city
Inside the beautiful Papal Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels
The figure of Francis is always surrounded by pigeons- you can see the white one in the left corner of the first photo.
In the upper side of Assisi
The photos I'm most proud of ;)
Local degustation of cheese with trufles and olive oil
Pizza after a long day of sightseeing
