First signs of springs

It was a good week. I started with and went out for a pizza and to the pub. Then a Google employee came to our school to talk about her work experience (it's so inspiring when you can hear about others people's occupations). I also had a maths exam and I needed to focus on the arts project (The Great Gatsby is my subject, with a huge Leonardo face in the middle of the draft of course). On Friday spring had finally came to the city (It brought 13 degrees, flower stands and my little illness) + the bomber jacket became my daily uniform. Because my spring break starts on Thursday I bought tickets to Warsaw and I'm flying later this week (alone for the first time, I hope I won't be like Kevin and I'll catch the right plane). And since I've been in Dublin for almost two months now I was dreaming about city breaks (somewhere warm maybe ;)) and I hope they won't stay being dreams for too long. Tomorrow I'm going to the theatre in Dublin for the fist time (Hamlet) and then I'll have an accounting test, so fingers crossed that I won't humiliate myself. Below you can see my crazy weekend trip to the centre.

Somehow I'm always getting here.

Yankee Candles wonderland. Wild Fig is to die for.

Discovering Powerscourt - Counter Culture seems to be a good option for lunch.

Neon sneakers in small shops at Temple Bar

Lush bombs testing

Flowers stands in Temple Bar are so pretty at this time of the year.

My very first chocolate fondant, couldn't believe that I can bake it but...I did it. It's actually not that difficult as it seems to be.

 Stopping at COS and Pandora

Obviously, I couldn't leave Laduree without buying something sweet...

So I ended up with those beauties. Btw I promise that I won't spam you with Laduree in the next post, there are too many macaroons on my blog already.

Dublin randoms

This week is about to end - it means that there is a week and a half of school left :) I've spent Saturday in the most ineffective way of possible - in bed. So today I've tried to be more proactive and I headed to the town to make healthy grocery shopping (suddenly I felt inspired to cook) and as you can see focus more on the blog. Also, I've been thinking about the quality of my life and ways of improving it. Nowadays I'm struggling with a lack of motivation towards studying. Problems with the concentration are caused by too many diffusers and as a result I'm not studying at all. It has to change because I have a maths test on Thursday. Ambitious plans relating to the future require a lot of work...so as Rihanna says work, work work. In the meanwhile I wanted to show you some random photos from the past days.

+ I wouldn't be myself if I didn't mention about Leonardo! On Monday I was the most proud and happiest person on earth (exaggerating as always) because of his Oscar (after 22 years!). My subconscious told me to wake up 5 minutes after revealing the verdict...united with Leo forever ;)

Argenteuil Basin with a Single Sailboat by Claude Monet (1874) in National Gallery is probably my favorite painting here in Dublin. Can't wait to go to Monet's museum in Paris. Last weekend I also visited National Museum of Ireland- Archeology (if you're expecting something more than dead bones you'll be disappointed) and Natural History Museum.

Street art at Temple Bar

Cute canteen in National Gallery

Lush <3

On Wednesday I went to Union8 to celebrate Leonardo's Oscar! I've tried, scallops, salmon, venison and chocolate fondant and everything was delicious. Best restaurant in Dublin for me so far (beside Jamie's Italian).

KC Peaches

Alchemy in BT2- such a nice place for a coffee or lunch + you can observe people on the street through the window. I've tried Chai Latte (I thought it's the green, hipster one, but unfortunately it wasn't).

Spring inspirations

Spring, hurry up! Can't wait to wear bomber or leather jackets, blazers, shirts, sneakers and ripped jeans. I'm also exited for lace-up tops and sunnies. Black, white, grey, jeans and light pink are the perfect colours when it's getting warmer and when the nature wakes up to live. Let the spring bring freshness, sunlight and...some trips!

A week in Poland

Here are a couple of pictures from Warsaw, where I've been during a winter break.  It was nice to have a week off, especially in my old house.

Wilanow - my district

Discovering Zacheta - National Gallery of Art and  The Centre of Contemporary Art in Ujazdowski Castle.

Pretending that I'm fit while eating vegan burgers + I finally finished reading The Great Gatsby (now time for The Beautiful and Damned)

Lunching in BATA (polish 'krupnik' soup, burgers, monkfish, cakes and lemonade). I'm so sick of wearing winter jackets and scarfs and it doesn't seem like the spring is to come in Dublin - it was snowing yesterday :(

Grace Kelly was way too pretty in The Rear Window or in High Society + I stopped pretending that I'm fit very quickly, nothing new.

Lazy breakfasts in bed (also on Valentine's Day)

Sushi in Warsaw became a tradition since I live in Dublin :))
